Damage from the coronavirus pandemic and scammers on the pedestal
Already now it is estimated that the damage from the coronavirus pandemic reaches trillions of dollars. This blow to the budget has affected both large companies and ordinary people. But let’s not forget about scammers who are finding new ways to exploit the pandemic for their own purposes. For example, the pseudo-investment platform Picus offers investments in the drone field.
During the period of quarantine restrictions, the topic of drones really gained wide popularity, and there are many positive reviews (for example, in Moscow there are mentions of drone food deliveries). It is under this guise of activity that scammers deceive people, and losses can range from 15 dollars to 75,000 dollars.
Innovative project Picus: what you need to know
According to legend, Picus is an innovative project launched in 2019. The main focus of the project is the development and production of drones. This is an important direction, especially in the context of using drones for courier delivery of small goods.
However, not everything is so smooth. There is no feedback and reviews about Picus products, which raises doubts about the company’s honesty. Could they be hiding their true intentions, trying to attract financial inflows only to meet consumer demand?
Some users have already called the project suspicious, considering that, according to the presented data, it started active operations just a few days ago, although according to the legend, it has existed since last year. Company employees claim that they were preparing before entering the market. However, it seems that scammers simply bought an old website and reworked it for their own purposes. This practice is common among financial fraudsters.
Interaction with Picus and investments
The official Picus website is only available in English, which complicates working with it for Russian investors. However, the project is also oriented towards clients from the post-Soviet countries (there is a registration form in Russian). Nevertheless, the company does not have the necessary licenses for its activities.
For example, Picus operates illegally in Russia, without the permission of the Central Bank. It does not have a representative office in the country, so communication with technical support is possible only through the channels of communication indicated on the website.
Connecting with Picus technical support
Considering that Picus started working just a few days ago, it is difficult to assess reviews of its technical support services. However, it can be said that the ways of communication with company specialists are limited. There is no phone support, and the main interaction happens through messengers (Viber, Telegram, Whatsapp, etc.).
Registration process at Picus
Becoming a Picus client is simple as the registration form is standard. You just need to select a language and fill out the form, indicating:
- username,
- email address,
- password,
- pin code.
After that, you need to agree to Picus rules and confirm registration. Then you can choose a tariff plan and top up your balance using various top-up methods.
Investment plans at Picus
On the Picus platform, there are six investment plans, but most of them seem unrealistic due to the high entry threshold.
- 15 – 5,000 USD. Investment term – 10 days. Daily rate – 2% (expected return 120%),
- 5,000 – 25,000 USD. Deposit term – 20 days. Expected rate – 2.5% per day,
- 10,000 – 150,000 USD. Investment cycle – 5 weeks. Weekly payments – 20% of the deposit amount,
- 20,000 – 75,000 USD. Deposit term – 8 weeks. Expected rate – 25% weekly,
- 250 – 50,000 USD. Investment cycle – 1 quarter. Expected profit – 600%,
- 50 – 25,000 USD. Deposit term – 1 year. Expected profit – 3000%.
In addition, Picus offers participation in a referral program where you can earn by attracting new investors. The program is multi-level (7%-2%-1%), and participation does not require opening an investment account.
Reviews about Picus
There are few real reviews about Picus as the project is still in development. Some clients are waiting for additional reviews to ensure the project’s safety:
There are investors who note that there are many interesting projects, but also many scam projects:
Analysis of the Picus risk scheme
Although the Picus legend may seem convincing, the scam scheme is typical. Fraudsters promise investment in a profitable project with high returns, but in fact their goal is to attract investments for large sums. High profits are not planned.

Conclusions of the Picus review
Contacting Picus is risky due to signs of a quick scam. The lack of necessary legal basis for activities and the lack of indisputable income withdrawal (tiny receipts on the internet do not confirm it) indicate that Picus should be avoided.
I am dissatisfied with the broker’s work as the pricing plans of Picus are not clearly outlined, and the reviews seem biased and lacking in critical, comprehensive evaluation.
My experience with Picus was extremely unsatisfactory. They boast of providing premium service but it is far from the truth. The pricing plans they offer are not only expensive but extremely ambiguous. Transparency is definitely lacking in their system. They don’t clearly explain how they calculate their pricing and the hidden costs are rampant. The help support was equally unhelpful and impolite. When I tried to communicate my grievances, I was met with disdain rather than assistance. Lastly, the reviews about them on the internet seem highly suspicious, as my experience doesn’t match any of positive ones. This led me to question the credibility of such reviews. Overall, my experience with Picus was disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
