The network of the fictitious company Dio Leaf: what secrets does it conceal?
The company Dio Leaf, residing alongside seasoned colleagues, carefully deceives potential clients and strives to extract money from their wallets. According to many, there are still people who believe in free services. How do the scammers from Dio Leaf manipulate people and where do the finances disappear to? Let’s take a closer look.
The real story of the company “Dio Leaf”
As the legend goes, the brokerage company Dio Leaf was established back in 2018 and even received some international award for its first year of operation. Currently, the firm has over 200 thousand open accounts, and the daily trading volume has exceeded $80 million. Although the fiction created by the fraudsters is brilliant, the facts speak otherwise.
The domain dioleaf.com has been owned by the company since 2016, but it was re-registered in February 2021. Presumably, this domain previously belonged to another organization, however, a few months ago the scammers intercepted it and began actively deceiving trusting investors.
All legal information was concealed by the scammers in a subsection of the website. The organizers decided to register the company in Cyprus at the address: 32, Gladstonos St, Limassol 3041. However, this address actually corresponds to a building where a billiard club, clothing store, and massage parlor are located, not the office of a successful Cypriot intermediary.
Although the scammers at Dio Leaf hold a total of 3 licenses:
- Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (489/55),
- International Financial Services Commission of Belize (29/85/HP/21),
- Financial Services Commission of Mauritius (G36476886).
There is no evidence confirming the forgery by Dio Leaf. As seen, the project with such a name is unknown on the websites of the mentioned regulators.
In the “Accreditation and Licenses” section, the fraudsters claim about their high level of security and collaboration with leading liquidity providers. However, these organizations have no relation to Dio Leaf.
Access to the “User Agreement” is provided to victims during registration. In this document, the scammers contain many contradictory statements.
For example, scammers may provide recommendations to traders, but they do not take responsibility for their accuracy. All risks and losses, including platform failures, are entirely borne by investors.
It is worth noting that even force majeure situations are determined by the intermediary.
The scammers behave shamelessly and aggressively. They can terminate the relationship with the client at any moment without notice.
A user account in Dio Leaf can be blocked without warning, based on their “sole discretion.”
